International Trade Advice
Lesley Batchelor was elected to the post of National Chairman of the Institute of Export in October 2007, although she has been an active member for the past 20 years and has served as both a Trustee and a Director.
Lesley is a graduate member of the Institute and has used the qualifications over the years to work internationally, initially, for Blue Chip companies, Ciba-Geigy Pharmaceuticals, Fujitsu Europe, Coca-Cola and as a distributors for Novell Networking Solutions and around 25 associated product ranges.
For the last 18 years she has run her own company helping smaller businesses to become involved in International markets by mentoring, training or with consultancy projects. These projects range from taking record companies to Midem, popcorn machines from Norway and flat-packed coffins from Ghana.
Established in 1935 The Institute of Export, under Lesley’s chairmanship, is adopting an all new approach to working with the Business community to promote best practise in International Trade in 2009. Dedicated to professionalism and recognising the challenging and often complex trading conditions in international markets, The Institute is committed to the belief that real competitive advantage lies in competence and that commercial power, especially negotiating power, is underpinned by a sound basis of knowledge. The IOE International Trade offers Business Support for any size business from sole traders, SME and Corporate Members. Why not visit www.export.org.uk for details.
