James has worked extensively in pre- and post-sales consulting roles for US-based technology companies. Having started his career an MVS systems programmer in more recent years he has specialised in networking and IT security. He is CISSP-certified and experienced in all aspects of IT security / risk management. He spends much of his time advising on security issues to a variety of audiences and is a regularly-quoted commentator on contemporary security issues in the technology press on behalf of IBM.
